This article covers the Honda Prelude outboard joint replacement with minimal disassembling. In the process of replacement the leaking inboard joint seal was detected so it was also replaced.
First of all loose the wheel bolts and raise the car. Then remove the wheel. There are many ways and methods to remove the spindle nut so he is the one of them. Put something between the break disk and the caliper to block the wheel. Now you can screw off the spindle nut with increased wrench arm. See the pictures.

Now let's release the lower ball joint. First remove the cotter pin and screw off the castle nut. Don't hurry up to remove the ball joint. You have to remove the damper fork nut and bolt before. Now use the ball joint remover to release the knuckle hub. Now remove the engine protection plate if you have one because we are going to remove the driveshaft completely.

With protection plate removed it is easy to drain the transmission fluid. If you are not going to replace the fluid with new one then make sure to drain it into the clean container. Reminding that the transmission fluid shall be changed each 50.000 km. Now you are ready to remove the driveshaft. Use the thick screwdriver to push the inboard joint out of its nest.

Replacing the seal is just easy. Just remove old insert new. You can see the old seal at the picture below. Next step is the joint disassembly. To remove the boot band, pry the locking tabs with a screwdriver and raise the end of the band. If you don't have the boot replacement take care not to damage the boots. Carefully clamp driveshaft a vise with soft jaws. Before disassembly, mark the spider and driveshaft so they can be reinstalled in original positions. Remove the inboard joint and rollers. Remove the circlip, then remove the spider using a bearing remover.

Now assembling new inboard joint. Pack the inboard joint with the joint grease included in the new driveshaft set. Fit the inboard joint onto the driveshaft. Install the boot bend both sets of locking tabs. Lightly tap on the doubled-over positions to reduce their height. Now install the driveshaft, damper fork bolt and the lower ball joint's castle nut with cotter pin. Don't forget to fill new transmission fluid.
