hello, i need to know what the valve clearance is on a 2.3.  i have a 94 lude auto and the vavletrain is ticking bad.  also, when she starts, the idle goes up and down from 1000+ rpm to 2000+ rpm.  once it warms up, it's down to 800 rpm steady but idles rough and the loud ticking noise starts.  any help will appreiated, thanks.

ok. for the intake valves the clearance is 0.004- 0.005 in.  

And the Exahust clearance is 0.006- 0.007 in.

i got the info out of a chiltons book for imports so it should be accurate.
