hi, I have a 92 prelude si JDM h22 swap, along with a bunch of other stuff, This is my first car, so when I bought it, I did'nt have alot of money, and really wanted a prelude, the only one I could find in my $$ range was an auto tranny.

anyway, heres the pain in the ass: I turn the key enough to get the electronics going, and the D4 light starts to blink. it used to not start, so i replaced the main relay, and swapped out the old tranny cause it was real rough anyway, for a low miliage auto. to convert to 5 speed is too $$ right now for me. we thought this would stop the blinking light, but it did not.

 and now, it'll always crank, light blinking or not, if it is blinking, the car wont shift, like its stuck in first. so what i do to "over ride" the problem is flick the key over , then off real quick, then back on, and the light wont blink.

This has been a real pain in the ass, if anyone has any idea of what I can do, PLEASE help me out. and dont come up in here bitching me out for having an auto, thats not the kind of "help" I'm lookig for.

 I also had this problem with my 1995 Prelude Si and D4 would flash, my car would start up fine but when it flashed with was like it started out in fourth gear and it had like no power and it took awhile to get up to speed. I'm going to order the TCM [Transmission Control Module] from honda as soon as i get the money its like $350.00 and hopefully that fixes it. I have replaced the transmission soelinoids also and that was not the problem. So I am hoping it is the TCM.   Good Luck
